Strong braking power and exceptional performance on long descents characterize the organic Kool Stop brake pads for SRAM Red Road and SRAM Force 22 hydraulic disc brakes. These easily modulated disc brake pads are made from organic materials bonded with resin.

To improve braking performance at high modulation, the pads contain small amounts of copper particles, which also increases durability. Due to their material composition, they operate more quietly, but are generally not quite as heat-resistant as sintered friction surfaces.
