Greeted warmly by Lechan at the airport, we ventured deep into the highlands, eager to begin our adventure. Our bikes, equipped with the robust Shimano GRX 400 drivetrains, faced steep ascents and rugged trails with ease. On the first day, we scaled the highest tarmac roads at 3200 meters, rewarded with stunning vistas before descending into the gravel-filled valleys.
